Burger patty stuffed with cheese

The famous burger of Kampakis which became legendary in Pieria in the 80's and 90's.


  1. Grate the onions and tomatoes

  2. Blend the roasted chick peas in the food processor until they turn into flour

  3. Place the minced meat and all the other ingredients in a bowl

  4. Knead, cover with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour

  5. Light the fire

  6. Shape the burgers and fill them with cheese

  7. Lightly grease the burgers and grill them


1 kg mixed minced meat (beef and pork)

1 medium grated onion (100 g)

2 tomatoes grated (without juice 130 g)

½ cup flour of roasted chickpeas (70 g)

½ cup condensed milk (100 ml) unsweetened

1 tbsp dry oregano

salt + pepper

200 g Gouda cheese or other cheese for the filling 

½ tsp baking soda (optional)
