Doughnuts with sugar and cinnamon

A tasty treat


  1. Place the flour and sugar in a bowl

  2. Add the yeast to the milk and stir until dissolved

  3. Add the milk to the flour

  4. Add to the flour and butter at room temperature, salt, vanilla, eggs and lemon zest. Knead with the mixer 3 to 4 minutes on low speed and another 6 to 7 minutes on high speed

  5. With gentle movements. shape the dough into a ball and place it in an oiled bowl,

  6. Cover with cling film and leave until it doubles in size

  7. Sprinkle with flour and place on the workbench

  8. Spread with the rolling pin until it reaches about 1.5 cm thick

  9. Cut the donuts and let them rise for about 15 minutes before frying

  10. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon


600g plain flour

260ml full fat milk

2 medium eggs

5g fresh yeast

100g butter at room temperature

40g fine sugar

8gr salt

1tsp vanilla extract

lemon zest

vegetable oil for frying

fine sugar and cinnamon for coating
