Potato croquettes with cheese baked in the oven

A very tasty and healthy snack


  1. Boil the potatoes

  2. Drain and press them with the potato press

  3. Add salt, milk, butter, black pepper and nutmeg and stir. Set aside to cool.

  4. In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with all the spices.

  5. In a bowl break the eggs and mix them

  6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius

  7. Shape the croquettes with the mash, make a dent in the middle, put the cheese in, fold and shape into the shape you want. Keep your hands wet with water to prevent the dough from sticking on your hands. 

  8. Dip the potato meatballs in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs.

  9. Place in a pan layered with baking paper

  10. Bake for 25 minutes


1500gr peeled and boiled potatoes

100ml milk

60gr butter

250gr cheese of your preference

250gr bread crumbs

3 eggs

1tsp paprika

1tsp tumeric

1tsp dried thyme

a little nutmeg
