Semolina Halva with honey and almonds!

With just honey, no sugar!

  Method  

  1. In a pot I heat the water with the orange or lemon zest. Keep it warm aside.

  2. Heat the oil in a large pan, then add the semolina little by little, mixing with a wooden spoon.

  3. When it begins to color, remove from the heat and carefully add the hot water with the zest, stirring constantly.

  4. Put the pot back on the heat, stirring until the mixture thickens.

  5. Take it off the heat.

  6. As soon as the temperature drops a little, add the honey, the coarsely chopped almonds and the cinnamon.

  7. Mix it well and pour it into the mold

  8. It can come out of the mold after 20 minutes.

  Ingredients  

1 glass of olive oil or vegetable oil (180 ml)

1½ glasses of honey (500 g)

2 glasses of coarse semolina (400 g)

4 glasses of water (960 ml)

1 glass of roasted almonds or walnuts (150 g)

grated cinnamon

zest of 1 orange or lemon
