A traditional Greek sausage recipe with peppers.


  1. Chop the onions into thick slices

  2. Slice the red and yellow peppers into pieces and leave the green ones whole

  3. Slice the garlic into slices

  4. Chop the tomatoes into pieces

  5. Fry the sausages in their fat only and deglaze with the tsipouro or ouzo. Set them aside.

  6. Fry the onions with the paste and a little sugar

  7. Add the peppers and let them fry.

  8. Add the tomatoes

  9. Season with salt and pepper and add thyme and oregano

  10. Add the sausages and a little water and let it boil


800g bell peppers

1 kg of Greek sausages

2 yellow bell peppers

2 red bell peppers

1 chili pepper

1 onion

800g canned cherry tomatoes

1 shot of tsipouro

2 ripe tomatoes, chopped

Some sugar

2-6 cloves of garlic

2 bay leaves

1 fl. olive oil

Salt Pepper
