Onion fritters from Bursa

A very special recipe from Nana Antonia

Method

  1. Finely chop and mix all ingredients together adjusting flour and water accordingly

  2. Heat up the oil

  3. Using two spoons, pour the mixture into the hot oil and let them fry until they turn golden brown

Ingredients

7 spring onions

200 g feta cheese

¼ leek

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cumin (optional)

110 g flour +-

water as needed 

3 cloves of garlic

2 eggs

1 tbsp. fresh or dried mint

1 tablespoon olive oil

Sunflower oil for frying
