Soaked in an apple juice syrup


1. In a saucepan put the apple juice, sugar, juice and peel of half a lemon, cinnamon stick and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from the fire

2. Turn the oven to 180 with the fan off

3. Peel the apples and put them in water with lemon.

4. Place the eggs and sugar in the bowl of the mixer and beat until the mixture is white and fluffy.

5. Add the remaining ingredients and mix.

6. In a buttered pan, sprinkle the brown sugar and sprinkle the apples, which you first sprinkle with cinnamon.

7. Pour the mixture over the apples, cover with a greased pan and bake for 33 minutes.

8. Top it with the syrup


For the syrup

2 1/2 cups apple juice 500 ml

1 cup of sugar 175 g

1 cinnamon stick

Juice and zest of half a lemon

For the dough

6 eggs

1 cup of sugar 175 g

1 cup of flour 110 g

1 cup of fine semolina 140 g

1 pack. Baking powder 16 g

50 ml apple juice

1 pack vanilla sugar

3 apples

50 g of brown sugar

a little butter
